Then, head to bright blue Jodhpur, home to the mighty Mehrangarh Fort, followed by the magical city of Udaipur and romance of shimmering Lake Pichola. DAY 1

ARRIVE IN DELHI (STAY AT THE OBEROI)

Your private luxury tour of Rajasthan begins on arrival in Delhi, where you will be met at the airport and chauffeured to your luxury hotel,the recently re-opened Oberoi New Delhi, which features 220 rooms and suites, inspired by Lutyens New Delhi architecture. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. The verdant Lodi Gardens make for a lovely stroll or your driver can take you to Khan Market, lined with fabulous fashion boutiques and lovely restaurants.

 

DAY 2

DELHI

Today, you’ll explore both Old and New Delhi including Humayun’s Tomb (thought to have inspired the Taj Mahal), the 17th-century Jama Masjid and the Afghan-styleQutbMinar. Other highlights include: India Gate, Connaught Place and the Lotus Temple.Complete your privately-guided city tour with an exhilarating cycle-rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk’s tinybazaars, glittering with jewellery, decorations, spices, street food and much more.

 

DAY 3

DELHI TO AGRA (STAY AT THE OBEROI AMARVILAS)

Travel by road with your personal chauffeur to Agra. Upon arriving, check into the Oberoi Amarvilas, one of India’s finest luxury hotels with every room and suite boasting an uninterrupted view of the Taj Mahal. In the afternoon, visit the breath-taking Taj Mahal, one of the most beautiful buildings in the world, which was built as a monument to eternal love by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife.

Please note: you can start this journey on any day however the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.

 

DAY 4

AGRA

Begin your privately-guided tour this morning with Agra Fort. One of the finest Mughal forts in India, this 16th-century monument stands majestic in red sandstone along the Yamuna River and reflects the collective brilliance of three Mughal emperors — Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan.Then visit Itmad-ud-daulah, otherwise known as the ‘baby Taj’, the exquisite white marble tomb of a Persian nobleman, which features particularly fine carved jalis.

 

DAY 5

AGRA TO RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK (STAY AT THE OBEROI VANYAVILAS)

Leave Agra this morning to be chauffeured to Ranthambore National Park, home to the rare Bengal tiger. Upon arrival, you’ll check into the Oberoi Vanyavilas, a safari-camp meets boutique hotel, with stunning tented accommodation. In the late afternoon, set off into the jungle on a private jeep safari accompanied by a naturalist in search of the Bengal Tiger, Sloth Bear, Nilgai, Hyena and Crocodile.

Please note: Ranthambore National Park is closed between June and October.

 

Day 6

RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK 

Let The Jungle Book be brought to life as you explore Ranthambore with two private jeep safaris (both morning and afternoon drives are recommended for the best chance to spot the tiger). In between, wildlife spotting, climb the majestic 10th-century Ranthambore Fort, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by ancient temples and mosques, hunting pavilions and vine-covered chhatris.

 

DAY 7

RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK TO JAIPUR (STAY AT THE OBEROI RAJVILAS)

After your morning game drive, your driver will chauffeur you to Rajasthan’s vibrant capital Jaipur. On arrival, check into the Oberoi Rajvilas, a royal resort set in breath-taking landscaped gardens, filled with beautiful trees and exotic birdlife. The remainder of the day is spent at leisure, enjoying the hotel’s luxurious offerings, including the Oberoi spa, housed in a restored 18th-century haveli.

 

DAY 8

JAIPUR

Today, led by a local expert, you’ll be discovering Jaipur’s many wonders. Start with the superb City Palace and a tour around its private rooms. Continue with a photo-stop at the extraordinary pink-painted Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds)before visiting the Jantar Mantar observatory. Later, make your way to the splendid 17th-century Amber Fort on elephant back, before dining at luxury camp DeraAmerwhere you can feed the resident elephants.

 

DAY 9

JAIPUR TO UDAIPUR (STAY AT THE OBEROI UDAIVILAS)

After a scenic driveto Udaipur, you’ll take a short boat ride across sparkling Lake Picholato your luxury hotel, the Oberoi Udaivilas. Located on the banks of sparkling Lake Pichola, the property is set among 50 acres of former royal hunting grounds. In the afternoon, travel across the water to Jagmandir Island, which features a beautiful palace, where the royal family once held summer parties.

 

DAY 10

UDAIPUR

One of Rajasthan’s most romantic cities, begin your privately-guided city tour at the City Palace, an impressive complex on the banks of Lake Pichola that elegantly combines Rajasthani, European and Chinese design. Continue through the narrow streets of the old city, soaking up the buzz of the ancient bazaar, which teems with miniature paintings, wood carvings, silver jewellery, bangles, spices, camel-bone boxes and a plethora of textiles.

 

DAY 11

UDAIPUR TO MUMBAI (STAY AT THE OBEROI)

Spend the morning at leisure before boarding a direct flight to Mumbai. On arrival, you will be chauffeured to the Oberoi, which enjoys an unrivalled position on the exclusive Marine Drive, with stunning views of the ocean. The rest of the day can be spent relaxing – there’s a fabulous pool – before enjoying one of the three excellent restaurants(we recommendZiya, with Michelin-starred Chef Vineet Bhatia at the helm).

 

DAY 12

MUMBAI

Led by your privatelocal guide, rise early for a dawn tour and watch the local food markets unfold. Then explore the city’s stately mansions and magnificent architecture which stand tall amongst the dense, tropical greenery. Highlights include: the exquisitely sculpted Flora Fountain, the Gateway of India and Elphinstone Circle with its arcaded façade. There’s plenty of great shopping, too, plus a fantastic food scene.

FINISH IN MUMBAI
