You’ll then be chauffeured to Agra, home to the breath-taking Taj Mahal and the magnificent Red Fort. Afterwards is the thrilling chance to spot a Royal Bengal Tiger in Ranthambore National Park – an experience like no other. You’ll then continue to the bejeweled ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur with its splendid architecture, not to mention fantastic shopping. We will then chauffeur you back to Delhi, where you can snap up some final souvenirs before your private luxury journey ends. Day 1

ARRIVE IN DELHI (STAY AT TAJ MAHAL HOTEL, DELHI)

Your luxury private journey of India starts on arrival in Delhi, where you will be met by a member of our team at the airport before being chauffeured to the Taj Mahal Hotel, which boasts glorious Mughal architecture, manicured gardens, and five excellent restaurants. For those who are after history and an old world charm, we recommend the Imperial Hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps going for a stroll through verdant Lodi Gardens or exploring the enticing fashion boutiques of Khan Market.

 

Day 2

DELHI

Discover the myriad of sights in Old and New Delhi including the 17th- century Jama Masjid, Qutb Minar and Humayun’s Tomb which is thought to have inspired the Taj Mahal. Finish the day with an exciting cycle-rickshaw ride through the bustling alleyways of Chandni Chowk’s souk-like bazaars, including Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest spice market and visiting the Sikh Gurudwara Bangla Sahib to explore a taste of Indian beliefs and spiritualism. Other highlights include India Gate, Connaught Place, and the Lotus Temple. Evening at leisure to enjoy a variety of cuisines at the Taj or visit Bukhara at the ITC Mughal Sheraton.

 

Day 3

DELHI TO AGRA (STAY AT THE GATEWAY HOTEL)

Leave Delhi in good time this morning to be chauffeured to Agra, where you’ll check into the Gateway Hotel which has 100 comfortable rooms, lovely gardens and a great selection of restaurants. After a relaxing lunch, in the afternoon, visit the iconic Taj Mahal which reflects several radiant shades one of the very best appearences being at the time of sunset. Taj Mahal is a magnificent 17th-century white marble mausoleum built as a monument to eternal love by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz and always seems to bedazzle its audience with its eternal beauty.

Please note: you can start this journey on any day however the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.

 

Day 4

AGRA

After a delicious breakfast, begin your privately-guided tour of Agra, taking in another Mughal masterpiece Agra Fort, a palatial red-sandstone and marble fortress along the Yamuna River which was constructed by Emperor Akbar in 1565. Then visit Itmad-ud-daulah, nicknamed the ‘baby Taj’, the exquisite white marble tomb of a Persian nobleman Mizra Ghiyas Beg, which features particularly fine carved jalis. As you complete your Agra tour we always recommend visiting the Oberoi Amar Vilas for tes or a sundowner overlooking the Taj Mahal.

 

Day 5

AGRA TO RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK (STAY AT VIVANTA SAWAI MADHOPUR LODGE, RANTHAMBORE)

Today, you’ll be privately-chauffeured to Ranthambore National Park before checking into Taj Vivanta Sawai Madhopur Lodge. Once a hunting stop for the Maharaja of Jaipur, in the days that the Maharajas went hunting on elephant backs. The original art deco-styled lodge now has 36 luxurious rooms and suites. In the afternoon, let The Jungle Book be brought to life as you explore Ranthambore with a private jeep safari, in search of the park’s most famous resident, the Royal Bengal tiger. 

Please note: Ranthambore National Park is closed between June and October.

 

Day 6

RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK

Continue your exploration of Ranthambore today with two private jeep safaris (both early morning and afternoon drives are recommended for the best chance to spot the tiger). There’s an array of sambars, marsh crocodiles, sloth bears, and leopard, too, plus fantastic birdlife. Between safaris, climb the crumbling 10th-century Ranthambhore Fort that rests majestically on the edge of the forest.After your early morning safari you can come back, unwind and have brunch befor you set off once again into the forest.  You will usually be taken on two separate routes for a greater chance or perhaps a couple of chances to see tigers. 

 

Day 7

RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK TO JAIPUR (STAY AT THE RAMBAGH PALACE, JAIPUR)

After your morning game drive, you’ll be chauffeured to Jaipur. On arrival, check into Rambagh Palace, one of the best Palace hotels in Rajasthan. There is no better place to relive the romance of Rajasthan while reading 'A Princess Remembers' on the lush lawns which offer a great view of the Moti Doongri and peacocks walking around in abundance. The property features some of the most grand rooms and suites with four-poster beds, high ceilings, and antique furniture plus three of the best fine-dining restaurants in Jaipur. The remainder of the day is spent at leisure, enjoying the hotel’s luxurious offerings, which includes a fabulous spa with both relaxing and rejuvenating treatments.

 

Day 8

JAIPUR

Today, you’ll be discovering the best of Jaipur. Led by a local expert, begin by exploring the Amber Fort on elephant back followed by the Jantar mantar Observatory and the City Palace and its private rooms. After a lunch stop, continue on for a photo-stop at the stunning Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) and explore the bazaars of Jaipur. Spend the evening with elephants at Dera Amer or at leisure on the scenic Rambagh lawns. 

 

Day 9

JAIPUR TO DELHI (STAY AT TAJ MAHAL HOTEL, DELHI)

Morning at leisure. Relax at the hotel, alternatively head out into Jaipur for some last-minute shopping – your driver is on hand to take you anywhere you might like to go. In the afternoon, you will be privately-chauffeured back to Delhi. Should you wish to explore the capital further, we can offer some exciting ideas or enjoy the remainder of your day with your feet up at the Taj Mahal Hotel. 

 

Day 10

DELHI

Today, your luxury private journey ends. Transfer to Delhi airport in time for your onward flight.
